Vladimir Nanaktaev is a Moscow-based composer, guitarist, and vocalist who writes, arranges, and performs his own original music.
His work draws from neoclassical, jazz, flamenco, and progressive traditions — defined by structural precision, expressive phrasing, and a deliberate use of dynamics and silence.
Raised in Siberia, his musical voice was shaped by an environment where space, restraint, and endurance are part of daily life — an influence that continues to inform his balance of intensity and control.
Working under the name Guitar VN, his compositions have been recognized in international competitions under the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. His work spans solo guitar, ensemble writing, and score-driven material for visual projects.
His writing is shaped by contrast — light and weight, precision and emotion, structure and improvisation — guided by a disciplined approach to interpretation and musical form. For him, performance is a controlled translation of thought into sound, where structure and expression remain inseparable.
